I am a research-based interdisciplinary artist exploring acts of beautiful disruption as a methodology to participate, and identify myself, within my Portuguese heritage. I think about materiality, absurdity, pattern, and performative acts as ways to disrupt tradition. My studio practice allows me a space to research, question, and celebrate cultural practices in a way that feels inclusive to modern society and bridges gaps between traditional and contemporary points of view.
